So as my comp and I were heading to an appointment, we found a small little canyon.  So we headed up and found an amazing 20 foot waterfall (well, it would be a 20 foot waterfall, but there was no water at the time.)

Getting tubed in El Ajusco

and yes, that is smog.

Elder Jacobs and I. He was an awesome missionary!!
Elder Payne - My best friend in the mission.
Our district: Elder Morales, Elder Lucero, Elder Ewell, Hermana Maneses, Hermana Fernandez, Hermana Martinez, Hermana Andrade, my comp Elder Cervantes, and I.

BBQ Party!

So the day before changes we had a huge BBQ, we cooked up 5 Kilos of meat, and played a ton of soccer. It was a blast.

This is Hugo, who completely turned his life around and is leaving on the mission in a few months.

Then we left the ball out in the sun, and it kinda exploded.

So last monday we had a huge trip! We decided to tackle the highest peak in the City of Mexico, the Pico de Aguila. It stands at a little over 13000 ft.

Here´s elder Morales, looking at the peak that we are about to tackle.

the first half was very heavily wooded, and the air was soooooo fresh!!!!

Here you have a better view of the peak. We rolled a few boulders off the top, and they would end up a little below where the picture ends.

Once we had made it to the tree line, we decided to stop and had breakfast. We had Longanisa, onions, Jalepeno chiles, steak, chicken and homemade tortillas! It was delicious!!!!

Once we had finished breakfast, the clouds moved in, and it became foggy, wet and cold.

So after 3 more hours of hiking, we finally reach the peak!!

There´s nothing for about 1000 ft. below my feet!

Clear skies!?!?! Thats unheardof in Mexico City!

So after the big rainstorm that we had a few days ago, the skies really cleared out, and it was a beautiful day. So beautiful, in fact, that i took this video. Enjoy!

crazy week!

So when i had a chance to talk to my family on mothers day, they asked about the water quality. The very next day, it rained hard and somehow the tap water got mixed up with the runoff water or something like that, and here are the results!

To top off the whole Mother´s Day celebrations, the ward rented out a Mariachi band to come and play. It was awesome!!!!!!

Crazy Mothers day!

So this week we had the Mothers Day ward party. It was awesome!!! We had Tacos al Pastor, and my comp was one of the Chef´s. You know what they say, never trust a skinny chef.

In total, we had 3 grills going, all loaded with tons of meat!
